Orbweaver and Repfabric Partner to Deliver Real-Time, Automated Data Exchange for Manufacturers and Reps

Orbweaver, LLC (“Orbweaver”) and Repfabric LLC (“Repfabric”) are proud to announce a transformative partnership designed to eliminate one of the biggest barriers to growth in the electronics supply chain: disconnected, error-prone data exchange. By uniting Orbweaver’s real-time automation with Repfabric’s AI-driven CRM and commission platform, manufacturers, distributors, and sales representatives will finally be able to streamline component, POS, and commission data into a single, automated flow. The result: faster revenue recognition, dramatically reduced administrative overhead, and stronger trust between all channel partners.

For the consumer, buying something in today’s world is simple. A customer clicks a few buttons and the item is shipped to their door. Fast, seamless, and effortless. However, in the electronic components industry, it’s a tangled mess of document types, data formats, and transfer methods, each requiring a different approach for each transaction. It starts with a long series of trade documents; RFQs, purchase orders, confirmations, change orders, invoices, shipping notices, and more, just to establish the terms of the transaction. Now imagine every trading partner using different data formats for all of these documents; API, EDI, spreadsheets, PDF, and more. It’s a fragmented mess that slows everything down. To make things even more complicated, these documents are transmitted in multiple ways, from HTTPS, to VAN, to SFTP, and more. With this added layer of complexity, the variations in document structures, formats and transfer methods multiply exponentially. Doing the math, there are thousands of unique ways to structure a single transaction. Scale that across an organization’s trading partners, and it’s a logistical nightmare.

Orbweaver’s DataHub Platform integrates disjointed systems and trading partners in any data format or transfer method. The result is a smarter and more connected business, utilizing data automation to replace error prone and predominantly manual systems. Capturing this data for analysis also provides opportunities for organization wide trend analysis, reporting, and the population of internal AI applications.

Built on Orbweaver DataHubTM, Orbweaver ForgeTM and Orbweaver RelayTM contain workflow for Part Data Management, and Trade Document Processing, providing organizations the continued benefit of process automation, opportunities to monetize their part catalog, and ease of approach in doing business digitally with critical trading partners.

Orbweaver’s customers are predominantly sellers of components in the electronics industry, meaning 1) manufacturers of components like resistors, integrated circuits, diodes, and connectors, as well as 2) their distribution partners that sell those components to contract manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) through the channel. And that is where Repfabric picks up the ball.

It is estimated a sales rep spends 45% of their time filling in reports, valuable time more efficiently spent on cultivating sales opportunities and meeting with customers. Repfabric provides sales professionals a unified platform that integrates directly to the multiple CRM systems of the distributors and manufacturers that the sales professionals represent. A Repfabric user fills in one trip report, and when complete, it syncs to each CRM system of each external organization, eliminating the need to log into multiple external portals. In addition, Repfabric provides scalable solutions for recording expenses, submitting travel reimbursements, reviewing sales data, and managing mail campaigns with platforms such as Mailchimp and Autoklose. The company has recently added a suite of AI applications for the automated construction of email responses, trip report generation, proposal construction, and meeting preparation.

Interestingly, Repfabric’s customers participate in a number of industries, including construction, plumbing, food service, and automotive, as well as the electronics industry. This partnership will therefore provide Orbweaver the opportunity to grow into these other industries, for which it’s DataHub Platform is well suited.

Currently the data resident in the Repfabric ecosystem is provided by the Repfabric user. As an example, part catalogs, sales transactions, and opportunity identification are limited to the items entered and known by the Repfabric user. This leads to a recursive behavior where the sales professional continues to sell what they have sold in the past, not recognizing or supporting other opportunities. And that is where this partnership comes into play.

Orbweaver and Repfabric Partner to Deliver Real-Time, Automated Data Exchange for Manufacturers and Reps

This partnership between Orbweaver and Repfabric provides the manufacturer and distributor customers of Orbweaver the ability to empower the related sales professionals that use Repfabric, tremendous depth of knowledge specific to part data, sales information, and commission management, as well as opportunities to stream line complex processes such as design registration and opportunity confirmation.

Orbweavers customers benefit from a more informed and capable sales force, and Repfabrics customers benefit from a stronger platform enabled by a powerhouse of data.

“We have had a relationship with John and Repfabric for a long time”, says T. Christopher Ciesielka, Co-Founder & CEO of Orbweaver. “We have discussed this type of partnership multiple times over the years, and it is in this moment we recognize our respective platforms have matured to the point where we are fully capable of addressing the substantial marketplace demand for the solutions we will now be offering.”

“This partnership is a game-changer for sales professionals,” said John Mitchell, President and Founder of Repfabric. “For too long, reps have been buried under redundant data entry, delayed commission reconciliations, and incomplete product information. By unlocking Orbweaver’s real-time data and embedding it directly into Repfabric, our users can close more opportunities, get paid faster, and build deeper trust with the manufacturers they represent. This isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about unleashing sales growth at scale.”

Part Catalog Data

Part Data is the cornerstone of the design win process. Sales opportunities are enhanced by providing sales professionals technical product data, parametric information, datasheets, images, compliance information, pricing, availability, and other marketing collateral to their customer in real time within the context of discussion or opportunity discovery. Providing sales representatives cross reference information increases the opportunities to establish a design win in moments when a competitor’s equivalent product has been initially selected by an engineer. Part Data is also constantly being revised, parts added, parts removed, and part data revised such as lifecycle, availability, and price. Orbweaver’s customers that opt into this opportunity will be able to distribute their entire part catalog directly to their selling partners. Seamlessly within the context of a conversation, utilizing this data, sales professionals will be able to grab on their phone through Repfabric’s application the information they need to close the deal, information that can also be used to immediately populate emails, and simultaneously recording opportunities and generating trip reports.

Real-Time Commissions

Commissions may be earned by sales professionals through a variety of mechanisms, including design wins, volume sale opportunities, customer relationships, and simply generating sales. These percentage-based incentives may vary by opportunity, region, trading partner, product, season, and volume. Common to commissions, regardless of mechanism or variation, is the analysis of point of sale (POS) data, which contains the customer, contract, product, volume, price and date information needed to calculate a commission, which may also be split across multiple parties depending on the opportunity. This reconciliation process between a sales professional and the company they represent can take months, and often results in lost or inaccurate compensation to the sales representative, putting strain on a relationship, and ultimately disincentivizing partners that should be aligned in a common effort. This partnership between Orbweaver and Repfabric allows their respective customers the opportunity to reconcile and relate opportunities to known commission structures in real time, providing for a less costly and more timely commission payment.

Design Registration

The design registration process in the electronics industry is a mechanism by which component manufacturers offer preferred pricing or supply advantages to buyers of those components in exchange for design wins and volume purchase commitments. The process starts with the identification of an opportunity and the submission of a Design Registration, often requiring the customer name, project name, application details, estimated annual volume, and timeline. Upon receipt of the Design Registration, the manufacturer may approve, reject, or alter the request, and submit that result to the originating party. Ongoing tracking of the subsequent purchase activity via point of sale (POS) data, reconciliation of gap fulfillments, and monitoring of purchase volume compliant with expectations are all critical to optimize the monetization of issued Design Registrations. This partnership between Orbweaver and Repfabric allows their respective customers the opportunity to manage and reconcile the Design Registration process, and subsequent performance monitoring, within their native environments, providing opportunities for automation, a reduction in administrative overhead, and increased visibility of potential margin erosion.

Data Security

Orbweaver’s DataHub Platform enables peer to peer data integrations for the exclusive benefit of those trading partners desiring to integrate their organizations directly with each other. Data is not anonymized, sold, or mined. Orbweaver provides a secure middleware solution trusted by the most visible participants in the electronics industry. AI solutions deployed by Orbweaver are similarly secure and incorporate a “walled garden” approach so information and data is not self referentially incorporated in the AI model except for the exclusive benefit of the organization utilizing those services.

Beta Partnerships

Orbweaver and Repfabric have completed testing of the required integrations between their systems to facilitate the aforementioned solutions, and others including forecast management, new product introduction, and ship and debit reconciliation. The companies are presently revising elements of this UI / UX to accommodate these enhancements and once complete will be contacting existing customers that may want to further the design, testing, and delivery of these solutions. Orbweaver and Repfabric are also open to other current customers or interested companies that may want to participate as a beta partner. Interested companies should contact T. Christopher Ciesielka or John Mitchell as listed in this release.
