This all goes back to the first point. Data should live in systems best suited for it. Clear rules for what, when, and how to merge data enable origin systems to maintain integrity while supporting downstream systems and scaling.

Not everything needs all your data, so its intended use matters. For example, when establishing a part search API, it might be necessary to leave out tariff and shipping origins, but those will take precedence when implementing a procurement process. 

#6: Security and Privacy is Non-negotiable
